Greetings, I'm Mickenzy Hammond, and I'm honored to be the owner of Lotus Yoga in Grand Forks. Life has its way of leading us to the right places, and that's exactly how I found yoga – during a time when I truly needed it. This practice embraced me with open arms and showed me a path to healing and self-discovery. As my journey unfolded, I became captivated by the profound impact that yoga and wellness can have on our lives. Now, my purpose is to share these transformative gifts with others, so they too can experience the joy, vitality, and freedom that come from living mindfully and wholeheartedly. Let's walk this path together.

Class Styles
Intro to Reformer Pilates
Intro to Reformer is our pre-requisite class to Reformer Pilates. Please arrive 15 minutes early to get set up on your machine properly. We also recommend grip socks for this class.
In this class, you will learn pilates principles, the anatomy of the reformer and our classic movements.
Great for first time clients and those looking to refine the basics.
Reformer Pilates - Jump Boards
This class is our reformer pilates offering with jump boards. Jump boards are a prop that we add to our machines to create a sequence of unique movements.
This class works into more cardio and higher energy movements.
You will be sore for days after this class!
Hot Mat Pilates
Hot Mat Pilates is a fusion of classic mat pilates movement and weights.
This class is great to develop your deep core muscles and improve your mobility and posture.
The class also includes toning through the use of weights, pilates rings and resistance bands.
Great low impact option for all levels.
Hot Yoga Flow
Hot Yoga Flow is our intermediate yoga class. Each instructor leads this class a little differently so we recommend trying a few class times until you find your favorite style.
This class is designed to be a medium pace with options for advancement or to modify for your needs that day.
Great for all levels. We do recommend coming to a slow yoga flow for your first class to get used to the heat.
Hot Yoga Slow Flow
This is our beginner hot yoga offering. This is a slow paced class designed to bring you back to the basics and work on the foundations of yoga and the postures.
Great for first timers as well as anyone needing to slow down or enjoy a good stretch.
Reformer Pilates
This is our premier reformer pilates offering. Enjoy 45 minutes of classical reformer.
You will enjoy a full body resistance workout on our machines.
This class is great to build deep core strength, develop better posture and tone your muscles.
Great low impact option for all levels.
Hot 26 Flow
Hot 26 Flow is our take on the Bikram Hot Yoga sequence. 26 postures done twice through with a mix of flow between postures.
This class is great for all levels and works the body and spine in its full range of motion.
You will leave this class feeling freedom in your joints and mobility in your hips and spine.
Hot Restorative Yoga
This class is the nap you didn't know you needed. If you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed this class will help to slow and calm the nervous system to be in a state of restoration and healing.
You will enjoy some light stretching and yin postures with a mix of soft music and meditation.
Hot Yoga Sculpt
This class is our most intense offering.
You will warm up and cool down with yoga movement.
The remainder of the class is a whole body toning workout. You will train upper body, lower body and core. There will be elements of yoga and cardio weaved into the sequence to break up the circuits.
This class is designed to be fun and high energy! Bring a sweat towel and a smile.
Sound Bath with Mickenzy
Enjoy 60 minutes of sound healing and zen with this class.
This is a reset for the mind and body. We will provide props for you to be comfortable but feel free to bring your own blankets and pillows to prop you up for ultimate rest.
Mickenzy will guide you through a sound yoga Nidra with a variety of instruments including crystal signing bowls, drums, chimes, gongs and so much more.
This is the reset your whole body needs!
Reformer Pilates - Quickie
Our quickie class is a 30 minute option over your lunch break.
This is a full body classical reformer pilates class. You will work all major muscle groups as well as develop better mobility and posture.
Hot Barre
Hot Barre is our take on barre fitness. You will warm up and cool down with some yoga asana and the majority of the class is barre technique. This is a great low impact option for all levels.
We use a variety of props including a ballet bar, ankle weights, bands and light weights.
This class works the hips, inner thighs, quadriceps and core.
Hot Restorative Yoga & Sound Bath
This class is a total reset for the mind, body and nervous system.
You will start with light stretching and a guided meditation.
The class will take you through a number of yin or restorative postures as you enjoy the healing vibrations of sound through singing bowls and various instruments.
Hot Yoga Sculpt & Flow
This class is a fusion of our two most popular class styles.
This is a medium paced class designed to provide you the benefit of stretch and strength.
The flow portion will open the body and the sculpt portion will add toning elements with weights and body weight exercises.
