Meet our Founder
Greetings, I'm Mickenzy Hammond, and I'm honored to be the owner of Lotus Yoga in Grand Forks. Life has its way of leading us to the right places, and that's exactly how I found yoga – during a time when I truly needed it. This practice embraced me with open arms and showed me a path to healing and self-discovery. As my journey unfolded, I became captivated by the profound impact that yoga and wellness can have on our lives. Now, my purpose is to share these transformative gifts with others, so they too can experience the joy, vitality, and freedom that come from living mindfully and wholeheartedly. Let's walk this path together.

Class Styles
Hot Yoga Flow
Hot Yoga Flow is a 45 to 60 minute yoga class focusing on the mind-body connection achieved through yoga postures, also known as yoga asana. Our yoga flow classes are conducted in the heated room and their pace is subject to instructor discretion. Lotus yoga focuses on proper alignment in yoga postures, to ensure our clients health and safety. Yoga flow is suitable for beginning, intermediate, and advanced practitioners, inviting all levels to join us on their mat.
Hot Barre Sculpt
Hot Barre Sculpt combines yoga sculpt, barre, and pilates techniques to provide clients with a full-body toning workout. Similar to Yoga Sculpt, this class is suitable for the practitioner seeking a workout, and is conducted on the mat, in the heated room, with the use of weights and mat-pilates equipment. Classes are constructed to work each individual muscle group, consisting of a warm up, working sets, and a cool down. Barre and pilates inspired movements encourage practitioners to target the smaller, harder to engage muscles which are often neglected.
Hot Yoga Sculpt
Hot Yoga Sculpt is a 45 to 60 minute body sculpting class. This class is intended to warm you up and cool you down with yoga flow techniques. For the practitioner seeking a full-body workout, Sculpt includes cardio, core, and toning exercises, usually with the use of weights. Every class concludes with a cool down and stretch. Sculpt classes are conducted in the hot room and pacing is subject to instructor discretion. Suitable for all levels, Sculpt invites practitioners to challenge themselves, when they step on their mat.
Hot Yoga Slow Flow
Hot Yoga Slow Flow is a 50 minute yoga flow class instructed at a slower pace than a regular yoga asana class. It is conducted in the heated room, and intended to provide a full body stretch and mental relaxation practice. This class is suitable for beginner, intermediate, and advanced practitioners, and is a great way to familiarize oneself with the practice of hot yoga. Slow Flow is perfect for practitioners of all age and ability.
Hot Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga is a 60 minute yoga/meditation practice which aids in activating the parasympathetic nervous system. Slow and relaxing yoga postures, meditation, and breath work are combined to help the body rest and restore. Restorative yoga is suitable for beginner, intermediate, and advanced practitioners and is conducted in the heated room. Practitioners seeking a deep mindfulness practice and period of rest will benefit from restorative yoga.
